Colijn, “the future adviser for the Outer Provinces,” visited Atjeh again shortly before March 1914, by then already a former minister; his judgement of the situation then agreed entirely with Swart’s own, as expressed in the Sumatra Post interview, and with that of the minister of Colonies who had proposed replacing the military authority in Atjeh wholly by the civil.

March is a calendar month used in the Aceh Wiki History date-linking convention. In the material drawn from De verlaten posten in Groot-Atjeh it is associated with the storm of Senelop on 12 March 1894; the investment of Tjot Goeë from 29 March 1895; the patrol of Kapitein Blokland on 7 March 1896; and the defection of Teukoe Oemar on 29 March 1896.
