Overste Raaif was a Dutch army officer who commanded the forces that withdrew to Pagar Roejong after the failed assault on Marapalm in April 1824. His troops later re‑entered the campaign in early March 1824 as part of the marine‑infantry contingent.

Withdrawal and Re‑deployment

Following the heavy losses at Marapalm, Raaif’s command fell back to the fortified position at Pagar Roejong, where he awaited reinforcements before resuming operations later in the year.
