Behrens (Luitenant Behrens) was a Lieutenant, patrouille commander mentioned in Jongejan’s Land en Volk van Atjeh Vroeger en Nu in connection with Aceh. Patrol commander pursuing Teungkoe di Mata Ië; in March 1913 wounded him in the leg (but Teungkoe escaped, leaving his turban and rosary).

Patrol commander pursuing Teungkoe di Mata Ië; in March 1913 wounded him in the leg (but Teungkoe escaped, leaving his turban and rosary). In January 1912 received reports of Teungkoe di Barat’s fourageeren; February 1912 located and surrounded the schuilplaats, killing Teungkoe di Barat and his wife.
Significance
Behrens (Luitenant Behrens) appears in Jongejan’s account as one of the figures shaping the history of Aceh during the period covered by the book.
