Pakan Kroeng Tjoet was a post within the geconcentreerde linie of Groot-Atjeh from which Luitenant Neelmeyer set out in the evening of the day he learned of the defection of Teukoe Oemar in March 1896, in order to warn the garrisons of Toengkoeb and Tjot Rang.
Neelmeyer’s departure
Hooijer recorded that, on learning of the going-over of the Panglima Prang Besar, Neelmeyer travelled in the evening in gezelschap van Toekoe Tjoet en eenige van diens volgelingen, van Pakan Kroeng Tjoet in de geconcentreerde linie naar Toengkoeb en Tjot Rang to warn the garrisons of those posts, placing his life defenceless in the hands of an Achehnese who two days later followed Oemar’s example.

Verstege names Pakan Kroeng Tjoet the other end-point — with Lamdjame — of the projected belt tramway of the new line of 1885, and one of the eighteen posts of the same line (see Postenlinie).
