Lamdjame (also printed Lamdjamoe) was one of the eighteen semi-permanently built posts of the Dutch concentrated line established around Kota Radja and Oleh-leh on 1 March 1885. The line had been shortened southwestward from Kroeng Raba to Lamdjame, and the new post was connected — by tramway branches from Ketapang Doewa and by the projected belt tramway round the line — with the other fortifications of the ring. On 25 September 1885 the post was fired upon by the Atjehnese, with loss of one Dutch soldier (see Guerilla raids inside the concentration line (1885)). Verstege includes it in the official list of posts of the new line of 1885, as handed down in the Koloniaal Verslag.
