Bijlage A, B, C and the lecture itself of Verstege’s pamphlet were delivered at the Burgerpligt meeting at Amsterdam on this date in 1886, introduced by its president R. van de Werk with the words that the Atjeh war, then thirteen years old, had cost ‘so many human lives and millions upon millions of money’; see also J.
