In July 1911 the controleur G. J. van Dongen took over the administration of the sub-division from the civil authority, the marechaussée captain W. A. Herold. In 1912 the garrison of Pidië could be reduced by two companies. In December 1911 Schmidt completed his commission with the death of Tgk. Ma’at.

In July 1911 Swart could report in the monthly report: “towards the end of the month the controleur G. J. van Dongen arrived to take over the administration of the sub-division from the civil authority, the constabulary captain W. A. Herold.” In 1912 the garrison of Pidië could be reduced by two companies.
