Tjot Goet was the station of the 4th Divisie of the Korps Maréchaussée in Atjeh in 1898.
The 1898 localisation
According to the 1930 jubilee number, the corps was in 1898 localised with its Staff at Koeta Radja, the 1st Division at Selimoen, the 2nd at Indrapoeri, the 3rd at Tjot Mantjang and Glé Broet, the 4th at Tjot Goet, and the 5th at Lam Baroe and Lho’-Nga.
The name is formed with the Acehnese topographic element tjot (also cot), denoting a hill.
Later dispositions
The 1910 redistribution of the corps placed its five divisions at Blang Kedjeren, Meulaboh, Takèngan, Lam Meulo and Lho Soekon; Tjot Goet does not appear among them.
