Glé Broet was a station of the Korps Maréchaussée in Atjeh, one of the two posts — with Tjot Mantjang — at which the 3rd Divisie of the corps was quartered in 1898.
The 1898 localisation
The 1930 jubilee number records the disposition of the corps in 1898 as follows: Staff at Koeta Radja; 1st Division at Selimoen; 2nd Division at Indrapoeri; 3rd Division at Tjot Mantjang and Glé Broet; 4th Division at Tjot Goet; and 5th Division at Lam Baroe and Lho’-Nga.
The name is formed with the Acehnese topographic element glé, denoting a hill or mountain.
Later dispositions
By 1910 the corps had been redistributed to Blang Kedjeren, Meulaboh, Takèngan, Lam Meulo and Lho Soekon, and Glé Broet no longer appears among the divisional stations.
