Wironje creek was a river in the interior of Acheh that featured prominently in the Dutch December expedition. Dutch vessels anchored there on 11 am and the bark “St Eustatius” took up a post at the plantation “Cornelia Jacoba” to secure communications and prevent rebel re‑entry.
Operations
Patrols from the bark “Zeven Provinciën” explored the creek and the nearby plantation “Prosperiteit”. The creek’s mouth was also the point where the Dutch attempted to block rebel retreat routes.
