Prosperiteit plantation was a sugar plantation in the interior of Acheh that was reported as recently abandoned by rebels during the Dutch December expedition. A “negro” patrol later found the buildings still standing and recovered a silver candlestick engraved with the name of the preacher Ramringt.
Military Significance
The plantation’s location near the Wironje creek made it a target for Dutch patrols seeking to suppress rebel activity and to secure the riverine supply line.
