Cornelia Jacoba plantation was a sugar plantation in the interior of Acheh that became a focal point of Dutch operations during the December 19–25 expedition. The detachment led by Captain‑lieutenant Smit marched overland to the plantation, while the bark “St Eustatius” later anchored there to maintain a post and secure communications.
Events
On 23 December the plantation was reported to have been abandoned by rebels, though later a patrol found the buildings still standing. The plantation was also the site where a silver candlestick bearing the name of Ramringt was discovered.
