Cimbia creek was a waterway in the interior of Acheh that served as a key navigation route for the Dutch naval expedition of December 19–25. The bark “Zeven Provinciën” anchored near the creek on 7 am and later dispatched patrols to explore surrounding plantations such as Altenklingen and Cornelia Jacoba.
Military Use
The creek was used to block rebel movements, to provide a landing point for troops, and to secure communication lines between the river fleet and inland posts.
