Antonaa (river settlement) was a small settlement along the interior waterways of Acheh mentioned in the Dutch naval reports of December. The Dutch detachment that marched overland from New Amsterdam encountered hostile “negro” forces there, resulting in two enemy deaths and the capture of several boats.
Strategic Importance
Its location near the Cimbia creek made it a focal point for Dutch patrols and for rebel activity during the expedition.
