Keudé Garot was the trading quarter of Garot in Pidië where Tgk. Aron carried out his huzarentukje in the night of 8–9 December 1908.
Partly disguised as soldiers in captured uniforms and equipment, his band gave itself out as a patrol, was admitted by the village watch, captured eight rifles lent to the oelèëbalang, wounded the Imeum of Garot, head of the watch, and disappeared with the booty — “eight rifles was a very great deal in those days, although, now that the Kompeuni had truly become the Kompeuni again* (“the Company (the Dutch power)“had become, naturally only a ‘loan’.”
