Tgk. Aron was de handige Tgk. Aron, the band-head of Pidië who carried out “an almost perfect hussar’s trick” at Keudé Garot in the night of 8–9 December 1908.
Partly disguised as soldiers in captured uniforms and equipment, his band gave itself out at Keudé Garot as a patrol, was admitted by the village watch, captured eight rifles lent to the oelèëbalang, wounded the Imeum of Garot, head of the watch, and disappeared with the booty — “eight rifles was an enormous amount in those days.” In August 1910 Boreel settled with Tgk. Aron, though not completely: six followers were rendered harmless and two of the eight rifles returned to the Kompeuni.
