Gosenson was returning with a few marechaussée from an elephant hunt undertaken at the request of the inhabitants of Goenòng Balè when he was attacked by some young Acehnese of Seunagan. He “was severely wounded in the action by a sabre stroke straight across the face, by which he remained disfigured for life, and by a cut across the thigh; he and his constabulary men, though all wounded, laid the three attackers low.”

On 29 December 1917 the bivouac commander of Djeuram, 1ste luitenant G. F. P. Gosenson, returning with a few marechaussée from an elephant hunt undertaken at the request of the inhabitants of Goenòng Balè, was attacked by some young Acehnese of Seunagan. He was severely wounded by a klewang blow across the face, disfiguring him for life, and by a cut across the thigh; he and his men, all wounded, laid the three attackers low.
From Djeuram
On 29 December 1917 Gosenson, returning with a few marechaussée from an elephant hunt undertaken at the request of the inhabitants of Goenòng Balè, was gravely wounded in the attack organised by Tgk. Poeti’. Teukoe Agam, whom H. J. Schmidt brought to Daja in 1914, had formerly been head of his intelligence service at Djeuram. In 1926 Teukoe Keumangan acknowledged to du Croo that T. Radja Tampo’ had been present on the pasar at Djeuram.
