Boebon was one of the three districts of the Meulaboh country still unquiet after the improvements of 1909, with Beneden Wòjla and Seunagan.
A mobile marechaussée column under captain Darlang temporarily occupied first the mouth of the Wòjla and later Boebon. In January 1910 a patrol under sergeant De Haas going up a tributary of the kr. Boebon in prauws fell into an ambush in which the commander and eight men lost their lives and eleven carbines disappeared, of which nine were fished up or handed in. In May 1911, in consequence of the favourable political situation in Wòjla and Boebon, the bivouacs Arongan, Tanòh Mirah and Reusa’ were abolished.
