On this date in 1885 the night watch of six men returning from Lamara to Ketapang Doewa was attacked: six wounded, three of whom died the same day (see Guerilla raids inside the concentration line (1885)); from the Kielstra notes cited by Verstege, on this date in 1879 more than 67 Atjehsche prisoners were made in a Dutch surprise.
