From Lebé Grondong
In 1910 the column of Darlang held the Péndéngvallei, so that Lebé Grondong moved with his followers to neighbouring sub-divisions. In March 1911 a brigade under sergeant Wisse surprised his hiding-place between Tampor and Lésten and reported him killed with his principal panglima and a follower, the booty being an M.95 rifle, a Mauser repeating rifle, a Beaumont and a Mauser self-loading pistol. In September came news that he was not dead: he had toured the Gajò Loeö during the hari raja feasts extorting from the population and had obtained two carbines on the death of the resistance head of Badaq; in October he murdered Rödjö Akoeb of Penosan in revenge for the latter’s journey to Koetaradja — but handed in a panglima, a goeroe and a carbine. In 1912 he came in submission.

1911 brought steady submissions — twenty-two of Penosan in January with all their panglimas, twenty-five of Pasér and Reröbö in February — and in March the apparent end of Lebé Grondong, surprised between Tampor and Lésten by a brigade under sergeant Wisse with a haul of one M.95 rifle, a Mauser repeating rifle, a Beaumont and a Mauser self-loading pistol. The same month brought the murder of Rödjö Kemala at the instigation of his kinsman Si Taib, and Taib’s escape from the transport escort at Lésten and death, wounded and starving, on the twenty-sixth.

March brought the provisional end for Lebé Grondong: “a brigade under Sergeant Wisse surprised on the 16th the hiding place, between Tampor and Lésten, of Lebé Grondong, formerly the right hand and later the successor of Tgk. Moedö Péndéng. Laid low: Lebé Grondong himself, together with his principal panglima and one follower; booty 1 M. 95 rifle, 1 Mauser repeating rifle and a Beaumont and 1 Mauser self-loading pistol.”
