Koeala Bhèë was the bivouac in the Wòjla district of Meulaboh whose energetic commander made Wòjla a model landschap, and near which the klewang attack of 25 April 1918 occurred.
Het landschap (“territory under a native chief”) Wòjla behoorde tot het gebied van den bivakcommandant (“bivouac commander”) te Koeala Bhèë, een energiek officier, die er een eer in stelde alle bestuursbevelen zoo goed mogelijk te doen uitvoeren. Under his direction the roads were exceptionally well maintained, the gampongs excelled in order and cleanliness, and tax collection and school attendance left nothing to be desired — “only the vaccination still left something to be desired.” Teungkoe Moet refused to appear when summoned to Koeala Bhèë and was killed resisting arrest; on 25 April 1918 the commander, bivouacking carelessly a day’s march away, lost one killed and seven wounded in a klewang attack.
