Blang Mé — also written Blang Me — is a place in the onderafdeeling Lho’ Seumawé of the afdeeling Noordkust van Atjeh, near the sea, remarkable for its royal graves. Here and there lie the graves of old sultans and princes, of which those at Blang Mé are the best known. Some of them are monumental graves for which marble has been used. A marble tombstone, standing at the head of the grave, bears the mention of names and facts in old script of mysterious characters. Remote in the water-land, this burial-place yet offers a royal rest under the high trees and remains a place full of dedication for the pious of the land.
