Small friendly flower-filled town smelling of pines; one of the most remote posts in Aceh. Reached officially via Medan-Kaban Djahé-Koeta Tjané + 36 km auto-road, then by foot/horse. A kapitein commands the detachment and is also civil bestuur. Has the ‘Oude Poes’ soosje with guest book. ~70 km from Koeta Tjané = 3 day marches; bivaks at Meloewak (600 m) and Koengké (1000 m).
Significance
Blang Kedjerèn is recorded by Jongejan as part of the geography and historical landscape of Aceh.
