Teungkoe di Tjòt Plieng was the head of the oelama party who gathered with Teukoe Oemar, Panglima Pòlém and the pretender-sultan at Garot in 1898.

After the fall of Garot on 1 June 1898, van Heutsz crossed and re-crossed Pidië, and “the stubbornly defended stockades Koeta Poetoih of Teungkoe di Tjòt Plieng were taken.”
