Keutjhi’ Saman was den langgezochten panglima (“war-leader”) van den ex-pretendent sultan, surprised and killed with three adherents in the Meergebied in February 1911.

His death fell in the month in which Jenae destroyed the band of Tgk. Léjman and H. J. Schmidt found Keudjroeën Oebit in the Tangsé valley — the turning-point of the campaign in the Meergebied.
