Keudjroeën Leupoe was den lang gezochten en beruchten verzetsleider of the Geumpang district, laid low in August 1910 by the bivouac commander onderluitenant A. H. C. Roelofsen.
H. N. A. Swart’s letter to H. J. Schmidt of 26 December 1909 had already named him as the principal quarry there: “When you have fulfilled your commission in the Tangsé country, you may go to Geumpang. Here the big game consists, of course, of T. Keudjroeën Leupoe and his sons T. Adé and T. Ma’E, and after them Keutjhi’ Bén Bangkèh and Keutjhi’ Linto.”
