Accara was formerly the captain of Coffy before offering his services to Colonel De Salve. Described as a notorious murderer and arsonist, he was granted a volmacht by Governor Van Hoogenheim on the condition that he would infiltrate the forests, capture fleeing Negers, and bring them back to the Dutch headquarters.
Activities
Accara regularly delivered groups of 30–40 former rebels to the headquarters, facilitating the Dutch “purge” of the area. His cooperation was seen as a key factor in the relative success of the campaign.
