The 10e Bataljon Infanterie was a battalion of the Netherlands Indies Army embarked at Semarang on 26 April 1896 as part of the reinforcement sent to Atjeh for the operations against Toekoe Oemar.
P. H. R. Beuming records that on that day the 10e Bataljon and three companies of the 5e Bataljon embarked at Semarang, and on the following day the 4th company of that corps, the 2nd battery of mountain artillery, one platoon of cavalry and two sections of engineer troops — een flinke versterking was men dus wachtende, a substantial reinforcement was therefore expected. These were the troops whose arrival allowed the three-day battle in the Beradin pass to be undertaken in May.
