The V.V.R.O.S. delegation to Kotaradja was a visit on 29 August 1950 by a delegation of the V.V.R.O.S. (the Association of Plantation Companies on the East Coast of Sumatra) together with six representatives of the companies with interests in Atjeh to Kotaradja, for further discussions with a commission formed by the governor of Atjeh.

Outcome

The discussions resulted in the release of approximately 40 of the roughly 50 enterprises in Atjeh, of which 20 were immediately taken into management. This was a significant step in the rehabilitation of the Atjeh plantation economy following the hostilities. Said Abubakar was appointed as manager (beheerder) of one of the returned enterprises, with technical advice provided by C. A. Kleingeld of the Sipef, who remained for several months at Langsar Estate.
