Acehnese attack of 11 April 1874 was an Acehnese attack against the Dutch position during the later 1874 occupation phase around Kota Radja.
Course
Jan van Swieten included it alongside negotiations at Gighen, the Radja Bandhara, and the subsequent adverse engagement of 16 April 1874. These incidents formed part of his case that the reduced occupation faced a continuing, politically unresolved war.
Significance
The episode belongs to the continuing Aceh War and the contested consequences of the Capture of the Kraton of Aceh.
