The year of the death of Shamsuddin of Pasai, the pantheistic mystic who dominated the religious life of the court of Iskandar Muda of Acheh. Even after his death his disciples remained in honour with the sultan, and the Wujudiyyah mysticism he had developed from the heritage of Hamzah Pansuri continued to flourish at the Achehnese court until the death of Iskandar Muda in 1636 and the arrival of Nūruddīn ar-Rānīrī in 1637.
