Landdsroon plantation was a sugar plantation in the interior of Acheh that was observed by Dutch forces on 25 December to be in ashes. The plantation, together with Beresteyn plantation, had been set on fire by rebels shortly before the Dutch ships arrived.
Context
The burning of Landdsroon was part of a series of rebel attacks on Dutch‑controlled plantations during the December campaign, aimed at denying the Dutch any usable base of operations.
