Boekit-Seboen was a Dutch military post in the IV Moekims of Groot-Atjeh. The post was evacuated on 12 February 1885 as part of the concentration strategy.
Location
Boekit-Seboen was situated in the western IV Moekims region, which was characterized by steep terrain on both sides of the kloof van Beradin (Beradin ravine).
Pre-Concentration Status
Boekit-Seboen was one of the posts established during the conquest expeditions of Generaal Pel. The post was connected to Boekit-Lampaja and Kroeng-Raba by a transport line, but the terrain prevented effective lateral expansion or enclosure of territory.
Evacuation
Boekit-Seboen was evacuated on 12 February 1885 along with Boekit-Lampaja. Casualties during the evacuation: 3 wounded (all lower soldiers).
Significance
The evacuation of Boekit-Seboen acknowledged that the steep terrain of the IV Moekims made sustained control impractical. The post had been isolated from the main position, and the concentration strategy prioritized defensible terrain.
