Boekit-Lampaja was a Dutch military post in the IV Moekims of Groot-Atjeh. The post was evacuated on 12 February 1885 as part of the concentration strategy.
Location
Boekit-Lampaja was situated in the western IV Moekims region, positioned on the line from Pakan-Badak through Boekit-Seboen toward Kroeng-Raba.
Pre-Concentration Status
Boekit-Lampaja was one of the posts established during the conquest expeditions of Generaal Pel. The post was connected to the transport line through the steep IV Moekims terrain, but the kloof van Beradin limited tactical options.
Evacuation
Boekit-Lampaja was evacuated on 12 February 1885 along with Boekit-Seboen. Casualties during the evacuation: 3 wounded (all lower soldiers).
Significance
The evacuation of Boekit-Lampaja was part of the systematic withdrawal from the difficult terrain of the IV Moekims. The steep ravines made defense impractical.
