Willem Bernard Johan Alexander Scheepens was a Dutch military officer and Captain in the Korps Maréchaussée.
Military Career and Service in Aceh
Scheepens was awarded an Honorary Sabre (Eeresabel) in 1897 and the Knight 3rd Class Military William Order (M.W.O.) during the Gayo and Alas Lands Expedition of 1904. After falling in combat in Aceh, a stone memorial bust was erected in his honor at Kerkhof Peutjoet in Kuta Raja.
