Tgk. di Atjèh Ma’ Amin was de beruchte Tgk. di Atjèh Ma’ Amin, overpowered and delivered up by the population of gampong Blang on 24 December 1909 while foraging.
The event, four days after the end of Pang Aron in the same district, marked the point at which the protected population of Bireuën began to turn against the bands: “when the awe felt for the Kompeuni (“the Company (the Dutch power)”) had been restored (Watrin was here the commander of the marechaussee, the military constabulary), the population, now protected once more, itself began to turn against the bands.”
