One of the most celebrated religious teachers in Acheh before the Dutch war, attracting hundreds of followers to Lam Nyong. He studied under Teungku Meuse at Lam Ba’et and under the Malay teacher Abduggamad at Lam Bhu’. Almost all the teachers of Acheh’s North and East Coasts owe their schooling wholly or in part to him.
