A gampong (village) within Great Acheh, famous as the seat of the renowned religious teacher Teungku di Lam Nyong (proper name Nya’ Him, short for Ibrahim). He attracted hundreds of followers and drew students from all over Acheh, including almost all the teachers of the North and East Coasts. He himself had studied at Lam Ba’et (in the VI Mukims) and at Lam Bhu''. He succeeded his father and grandfather in teaching at Lam Nyong. In the sadati dialogue: ‘Grammar (is taught) at Lam Nyong, the learning of the law at Lam Pucho’.‘
