Became Teungkoe Tirò after Ma’Anim’s death (1896). In February 1910 Lt. Schmidt set out to capture him. Twice engagements occurred with significant followers killed but Ma’jid escaped. The second time his young son fell into Dutch hands; the child felt at home and babbled information. In September 1910 Teungkoe Ma’jid was tracked down and killed.
Significance
Teungkoe Ma’jid appears in Jongejan’s account as one of the figures shaping the history of Aceh during the period covered by the book.
