Teuku Nek was an Acehnese leader who visited the Dutch camp after the fall of the Kraton of Aceh.
Role in the campaign
On 27 January 1874 he brought a letter from Nja Abas, Galar Sia Oelama and panglima of the XXV Mukim, offering unconditional submission and asking mercy for his subjects. He subsequently sought permission for cultivation and harvest, which Jan van Swieten treated as evidence for a conciliatory policy.
