Teukoe Béntara Gloempang Pajoeng was een van de gevaarlijkste tegenstanders in Pidië, lifted by the marechaussée on van Heutsz’s orders in 1898.
After returning barefoot to Sigli on 28 August 1898 and holding a reception at Koeta Radja on 31 August, van Heutsz returned to Pidië “and had one of the most dangerous opponents — Teukoe Béntara Gloempang Pajoeng — seized by the constabulary: in the space of four months Pidië was subjected.”
