Tengku M. Daudsjah was an Indonesian administrator who, during the transition from the Negara Sumatera Timur (N.S.T.) to the unitary Republic of Indonesia, served as the acting resident (dd. res.) of Atjeh. He was one of three members of the advisory college that assisted the acting governor (dd. gouverneur) Sarimin Reksodihardjo in the provisional government of North Sumatra.
Position in the transitional government
When the N.S.T. was dissolved on 15 August 1950 and its territory incorporated into the autonomous province of North Sumatra — comprising the pre-war residencies of Atjeh, Tapanuli, and East Sumatra (Oost-Sumatra) — the existing administrative apparatus continued to function normally. The acting governor Sarimin Reksodihardjo was assisted by a college of three:
- Tengku M. Daudsjah — acting resident of Atjeh (until the establishment of the Republican emergency government at the beginning of the second police action, bij de aanvang der tweede politionele actie);
- Binanga Siregar — deputy resident of Tapanuli;
- Radja Kaliamsjah Sinaga — former deputy head of state (Wakil Wali Negara) of the N.S.T.
