J. E. W. van Gesseler Verschuir was an officer of the Korps Maréchaussée in Atjeh recorded in the Overzicht van Onderscheidingen of the 1930 jubilee number as entered in the registers as knight of the Militaire Willems-Orde 4th class in 1899, and again recorded in 1902.

The register lists him under 1899 with the formula “Ingeschreven in de registers als Ridder Militaire Willems-Orde 4e Kl.”, and again under 1902, in the shortened form J. E. W. Verschuir, among the recipients of the 4th class.
