- In June 1902 a surprise attack on a detachment under Steijn Parvé: eight dead and wounded.
- In August 1902 an ambush against a transport at Meunasah Djeuro: dead and three wounded, five rifles lost.
- In November 1903 the operation against the 2e luitenant De Kok with forty-five men, who was to row up the river from the keudé Sampoj Niët in two prauws with Acehnese rowers, but who had spoken of his plans beforehand. At night a few shots suddenly fell; in the pitch dark the rowers capsized the prauws and swam to the bank; all the soldiers went into the water; the officer and twenty-eight men drowned and forty-two rifles were lost.
From 1903
On 2 October 1903 Christiaan Snouck Hurgronje wrote to Governor-General Rooseboom the letter warning against the appointment of Van Daalen to the Atjeh governorship — “as it were a Mene Tekel”. On 12 October 1903 H. N. A. Swart was charged with the government of Lho’ Seumawè and on 24 October extraordinarily promoted Majoor. In November 1903 T. Tjhi’ Toenòng’s band destroyed the party of 2e luitenant De Kok on the river at Sampoj Niët, drowning the officer and twenty-eight men.
