Colonel Waleson was a colonel of the Royal Netherlands East Indies Army who commanded infantry formations during the Second Aceh Expedition in 1873 and 1874.
Tactical Leadership
Serving under General J. van Swieten, Colonel Waleson commanded infantry brigades during the advance from Koerong Raba Bay to Pekan Badak and during the Capture of Kotta Alam in January 1874, contributing to the successful Capture of the Aceh Kraton.
