Sultan Ali Moegajat Sjah’s conquests / founding of Groot-Atjeh (early 16th century) was an event in the history of Aceh recorded by Jongejan in Land en Volk van Atjeh Vroeger en Nu. The second underking (stadhouder) of Atjeh under Pidië, known by the royal name Sultan Ali Moegajat Sjah, set aside his father the stadhouder, then secured his rear by conquering the nearby Westkust kingdom of Daja, then in almost one breath conquered virtually the whole Noord- and Oostkust.

The second underking (stadhouder) of Atjeh under Pidië, known by the royal name Sultan Ali Moegajat Sjah, set aside his father the stadhouder, then secured his rear by conquering the nearby Westkust kingdom of Daja, then in almost one breath conquered virtually the whole Noord- and Oostkust. His successors followed in his footsteps but could not extend further. The unified grip on Atjeh was achieved and would persist.
