Sultan Ali Moegajat Sjah (early 16th century, before 1500 to c.1530) was a Second underking (stadhouder) of Atjeh under Pidië, then first great Sultan of unified Atjeh mentioned in Jongejan’s Land en Volk van Atjeh Vroeger en Nu in connection with Aceh. Second ‘stadhouder’ (underking/viceroy) over Atjeh under Pidië suzerainty.

Account from Jongejans
Second ‘stadhouder’ (underking/viceroy) over Atjeh under Pidië suzerainty. Had vision and energy: set aside his father the stadhouder, conquered the neighboring kingdom of Daja on the Westkust to cover his rear, then conquered virtually the whole Noord- and Oostkust. Founded Groot-Atjeh (Greater Aceh). His successors followed in his footsteps but could not extend further. The unified grip on Aceh was achieved and would persist.
Significance
Sultan Ali Moegajat Sjah appears in Jongejan’s account as one of the figures shaping the history of Aceh during the period covered by the book.
