Schets eener parlementaire geschiedenis van Nederland van 1849 tot 1901 — Sketch of a Parliamentary History of the Netherlands from 1849 to 1901 — is the four-volume historical work by Mr W. J. van Welderen baron Rengers (extended in its 1955 fourth revised edition by Prof. Mr C. W. de Vries and Dr W. H. Vermeulen) that is the principal narrative source of the present Aceh Wiki History articles on the Atjeh debates of the Tweede Kamer in the 1891-1918 period. The 1955 fourth edition was published in ‘s-Gravenhage by Martinus Nijhoff.

The four volumes

The 1955 fourth revised edition comprises four volumes. The first three cover the parliamentary history of the Netherlands itself; the fourth volume — the source of the present Aceh Wiki articles — comprises three sections: Nederland 1914-1918 by Prof. Mr C. W. de Vries; Oost-Indië 1891-1918 by Dr W. H. Vermeulen; and West-Indië 1849-1918 by Dr W. H. Vermeulen. The colonial section by Vermeulen is the spine of the Atjehnese-war parliamentary record as it appears in the present articles.
