Leprosy sufferers in Groot-Atjeh inexorably expelled could go to specific kampong sulfur hot springs. Real estate passed family spouse considered legally divorced. Lepers’ kampong small society unfortunates maintaining fields crafts fisheries as far able. Disease less frequent Groot-Atjeh than eastern coast where Pidie and Pasei worse visited.
Also reported 1893 no pepper significant harvested illustrating volatility.
