Defensive strategy of holding a concentrated line in Groot-Atjeh, in place from 1884 to 1893. When abandoned, the Koeta Radja ceintuurbaan and straalbanen of the Atjeh-tram were also dismantled (1896).
Significance
The term concentratie-stelsel / concentratieline is recorded by Jongejan as part of the cultural, administrative, or institutional vocabulary of Aceh.
